The TREASURE COAST COMMUNITY SINGERS SCHOLARSHIP FUND is set up to promote the music talent of those seeking further development of their music skills. It is also aimed toward those most likely to contribute to the music enrichment of their community. The primary aim is for those advancing from High School into higher education, but is not exclusively so.

To date the TCCS Scholarship fund has awarded $17,550.00 over the past nine years. There have been some 18 different recipients of this award.

The Scholarship Award is intended to further the personal musical development of the recipient with the expectation that the award recipient will make a musical contribution to the community at large, whether here in our area of elsewhere. Thus the criteria for this award includes:

1. The extent of the applicant’s musical involvement.

2. The likelihood for the applicant’s future musical involvement.

3. Grades.

4. Financial need.

5. Non-musical activities that may be relevant.

6. Work history.

7. Personal goals and aspirations.

8. Plans for further education.

9. Career plans.

10. A Scholarship Award may be made to aid the music program of an institution.

The Scholarship Fund is dependent upon the monies raised through TCCS Concerts, other donations, gift sales, and the generosity and commitment of those in our community who wish to make a difference in the lives of people through the enrichment of music.
