TCCS and Stuart Community Concert Band salute the USA
In the last concert of its 2015-16 season, the Treasure Coast Community Singers joined with the Stuart Community Concert Band to celebrate our country. In a concert filled with patriotic music performed by not only the adult chorus but the youth chorus as well, the singers entertained and engaged the audience. From the presenting of colors by the Martin County High School ROTC, the acknowledgement of the veterans in the audience from different branches of the armed services to the audience being invited to sing along to some of our great patriotic songs, the mood was certainly set for upcoming Memorial Day and Fourth of July celebrations.
Keeping with its tradition of annually awarding scholarships to graduating high school students pursuing higher education in music, the 2015-16 scholarship winners were announced at the concert. This year’s recipients are Alison Fisher, Martin County High School, Madeline Gilbert, South Fork High School and Emily Rynasko, The Pine School.
TCCS is a 501(c)3 organization with 140 members from St Lucie, Martin and Palm Beach Counties. The singers perform concerts October through May for your entertainment.
