Evening at the Movies

A taste of Hollywood comes to North Stuart in March with “Evening at the Movies” presented by the Treasure Coast Community Singers. From the classics to the contemporary, songs that are familiar to most of us from a variety of films will be on the program. Many of us remember sitting in the balcony at our local movie house more than a half-century ago watching Gone With the Wind or Breakfast at Tiffany’s, enjoying the musical score. Selections from recent productions such as Frozen will also be included and will feature a visit from one of its main characters, Elsa. No matter your age, you will not be disappointed. Under the direction of Dr. Doug Jewett and assistant director, Michael Robbins, performances will be Saturday March 11 and Sunday March 12 at 3PM at the North Stuart Baptist Church, 1950 NW Federal Highway. The Treasure Coast Youth Choir, under the direction of Michael Robbins, will also be featured.

Advance sale tickets are $15 and admission at the door is $20. Tickets are available on-line through PayPal at www.tccsingers.org; by calling our voicemail 772- 224-8807; or at North Stuart Baptist Church (772- 692-1616) Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9am-1pm.

Seating is limited. TCCS is a Non-profit 501(c)3 Organization and complies with the ADA. For any accommodation contact our voicemail at 772-224-8807. A portion of all ticket sales funds a scholarship for students pursuing degrees in music or performance. Grants supporting TCCS were provided by Florida Department of State Division of Cultural Affairs, the Community Foundation of Palm Beach and Martin Counties and Women Supporting the Arts. The organization’s mission is “to keep people singing.”
