Access to Facilities

Currently, TCCS uses primarily two venues for performances, Trinity United Methodist Church in Jensen Beach and Ross Hall at Pittenger Center - St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Stuart. Both facilities are fully accessible. Handicapped parking spaces are situated at the entrances to the facilities and the number of spaces at each venue exceeds the ADA minimum requirements.

Public access to both of these performance venues is easy, with flat surfaces or curb cuts between the parking areas and the buildings. Inside the venues, the access from the front doors to the performing space is flat with no obstacles. Doors are propped open for easy access for all audience members. At each concert, wheelchair areas are provided and ushers are ready to assist individuals needing support. The restrooms at these venues are handicapped accessible as well, with accessible stalls and grab bars. Restrooms are marked with universal symbols.

Programming Accessibility

Special accommodation is available upon request for audience members. In all our printed materials, the following accessibility statement is used: “It is the policy of TCCS to comply with all the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. To request materials in accessible format or any accommodation to participate in our program, please call (772) 224-8807.” “TTY users may also call 711 (Florida Relay Service).” Since TCCS does not have special aids for people with hearing limitations or sight impairments, we respectfully request at least one week’s notice to accommodate the rental of equipment or production of large print programs.
